The choir was born in 1982 in the neighborhood of Poble Nou, beach area of Barcelona. Since then they have been steadily consolidating their musical quality thanks to the professionalism and enthusiasm of directors and strong singers. Being a member of the Catalan Federation of Choirs, supported by Council of the District of St. Martí , they participate in institutional events and regularly organize own musical productions. On the occasion of its 25th anniversary in 2007, the choir performed the opera „Love Elixir“ by Donizetti Caetano at Joncar, under the direction of Victor Frigola. In 2012 they went to the cities of Arco and Cittá di Ala in Trentino (Italy) with an exchange between choirs of these areas. In 2013 they studied the operetta „The Merry Widow“ in Catalan with in Centre Moral i Cultural del Poblenou, with more than seventy people on the stage. For this trip to Prague were invited singers of others choirs of Catalonia. The repertoire for Prague consists of different Catalan and traditional songs as a vindication of cultural identity of Catalonia as a country.
