Coro Joie de Chanter, Italy
The Joie de Chanter choir was born in July 2013 in Brusson (Aosta Valley, Italy). It consists of about twenty choristers. As the name suggests, the "joy of singing" and sharing music unites the singers of the group.
The choir takes part in events and concerts in the region of origin and its surroundings. Every year it joins the “Assemblée régionale de chant choral”, a local choral festival that brings together all the choirs of Aosta Valley.
In May 2017 the group took part in the national choral competition “Franchino Gaffurio” in Quartiano (Lodi) winning the silver band.
The repertoire consists of traditional popular songs, but also of sacred polyphonic music.
Since its inception the choir is directed by Christian Chouquer.
This year the choir celebrates its tenth anniversary.
